Redline Gauge Works’ New B-Body Dakota Digital VHX Dash

Redline Gauge Works (RGW) is going back to the Dakota Digital well with another all-new VHX dash collaboration, this time for 1968-1970 B-body applications. If you aren’t already familiar with the ever-expanding VHX platform, Dakota Digital describes it as a “revolutionary product line [that] will quickly evolve beyond the applications listed to cover several popular hot rod, muscle car, street rod, and custom vehicle applications.”

While the factory Rallye layout is maintained, everything on the backside is brand new and up-to-date with high-tech electronics galore. Several key features really set VHX products apart like fully lit needles, back-lit faces, micro-controlled precision stepper motors, and high-accuracy solid-state sensors. Even the fuel gauge is fully programmable to match your sending unit’s output. All of that adds up to a gauge panel that is accurate, robust, reliable, and, thanks to RGW, really nice to look at.

As with many of RGW’s offerings, full customization is available for things like face colors, gauge redlines, or nighttime illumination. With their incredible background in both restoration and custom instrument panels, we’d say the possibilities are just about endless. $980 plus shipping will get you the gauge set along with all of the necessary senders and, since each panel is built to order, lead time is typically 6 to 8 weeks.
