MSD’s legendary Digital 6-series Ignition Boxes are now available as the Ultra 6A-Series. Available in three versions, these capacitive-discharge ignitions are 60% smaller and 50% lighter than standard 6A boxes while offering 135-150mJ of spark energy at all RPMs.

The Ultra 6A series box features a new processor that is more efficient with less heat and current draw which leads to: Quicker throttle response and improve starting, better retention of precise timing and accurate rev limiting, and fully protects against open coil, shorted coil, and open load damage.

Step up to the Ultra 6AL Ignition Box and you’ll get these additional features: Increased spark duration lasts for 18 degrees of crankshaft rotation, Wireless control from a smartphone via the MSD Ultra 6AL mobile app, Settings for cylinder selection, step retard, launch RPM, burnout RPM, max RPM, and start retard, Connects to MSDView using a CAN-Bus Hub and Power Grid USB Controller, Works with points, magnetic pickups, and hall/crank-type distributors.

The Ultra 6AL Plus Ignition Box up’s the ante even more with an Onboard 4-BAR MAP sensor, Boost-dependent timing control up to 400 kPA (58 PSI), Programable timing curves in 2D plots or 3D tables using the MSD Ultra 6AL mobile app or MSDView on a laptop, Programmable launch timing, and Program cylinder selection and start retard without a computer or app.

MSD Ultra 6A-Series Ignition Boxes are available in your choice of red or back finishes. MSD recommends using a Blaster HVC or Blaster HVC-2 Ignition Coil for maximum spark output and high-RPM operation.
