There’s some pretty exciting stuff coming out for Mopars lately – and it’s not even SEMA yet! Recently, the suspension and handling masterminds at QA1 released two incredibly cool products that are sure to find their way into many cool cars in the near future: a complete rear suspension coil-over conversion system for A-bodies, and REV Series custom carbon fiber driveshafts!

QA1’s fully-adjustable rear coil-over system replaces all factory 1967-1979 Mopar A-body leaf spring suspensions using an 8 3/4” rearend with a modern 6-link suspension. By replicating the bind-free geometry of a 4-link, the system mounts cleanly into the existing locations on the chassis and includes shocks, springs, frame brackets, axle brackets, linkage assemblies, center cross member assembly, sway bars, spanner wrench and all the necessary hardware.

“This system provides an easy, bolt-in option to replace your leaf springs without having to do any cutting, welding or fabricating,” said Dan Voight, QA1 Motorsports Sales Manager. “Now you can get the performance that comes with coil-over shocks without taking a torch to your Mopar.”

But as we said earlier, that’s not all! QA1 also announced it’s full line of REV Series performance carbon fiber driveshafts. Limited to cars making up to 2000HP with a max torque rating of 1500lbs. ft. (ah shucks!), the REV Series carbin fiber driveshafts are lighter, stiffer and stronger than aluminum, steel and other carbon fiber driveshafts.

How? “While other carbon fiber driveshafts are often made by cutting a pre-made tube to length,” the press release states, “QA1’s driveshafts are designed and manufactured in-house at our Lakeville, MN facility using the latest filament-winding equipment. QA1 REV Series Driveshafts provide superior strength and longevity by utilizing an exclusive 3M Matrix Resin that uses spherical nano scale silica, which provides improved abrasion resistance and longevity, higher compressive strength and minimal water absorption for increased torque capacity and longevity.”

Offered with either a 3.2- and 3.7-inch diameter with several length, slip yoke and U-joint options to fit a variety of applications, the REV Series driveshafts can be custom ordered to fit your particular setup.
