Vintage Air’s OEM-Style Billet Aluminum Pulleys For Mopar

The aftermarket pulley industry is ripe with flashy aluminum serpentine pulley kits for the restomod types. But for those that want a factory look coupled with lightweight, precision-machined aluminum, the new-for-2019 big block pulleys from Vintage Air are the hot ticket.

Cut from solid chunks of aluminum, these billet pulleys were designed to look just like the factory stamped steel versions for air-conditioned applications. Obviously, one benefit is the material; the 6061-T6 aluminum wont rust and, as an added benefit, will shave a little bit of rotating mass off the front of your engine.

The precision machining shouldn’t be overlooked either. While the thin, stamped steel factory belt grooves can be dented or warped, machined aluminum allows for a strong, precise belt fit. A black hard coat mimics the OEM-type finish for maximum stealth.

Both crankshaft (P/N 735014, four groove) and water pump (P/N 735011, two groove) pulleys are available for Mopar big block engines. The crankshaft kit even comes with shims to hone in belt alignment. Vintage Air does recommend purchasing pulleys as a pair for optimal performance.

Mixing and matching new and used pulleys can be a bit of a gamble with alignment and long-term belt tension. Also available are reproduction pulleys for Mopar small blocks, although they are of the steel variety rather than billet aluminum. Either way, walk on by the rusty, beat up, swap meet pulleys and give Vintage Air a call today.
