If you’re installing a Gen III Hemi in your A, B, or E-body Mopar, and you’re using the drive-by-wire pedal, you probably already know that there’s not a lot of options for mounting the pedal in the car. This leaves many needing to fabricate a bracket, and depending on your skills, may not look all that appetizing. Well, all of that has been solved thanks to US Car Tool.
US Car Tool now offers a bracket to mount an app sensor (accelerator pedal position sensor) into your A, B, and E-body Mopar. This comes as a two-piece bracket with multiple holes to allow adjustments. Mounting this into your classic Mopar is as easy as using the existing pedal and throttle cable mounting holes in the firewall. No new holes are needed.
These comes zinc plated for long term protection and include all required hardware. USCT notes that the OEM air conditioning/heater box does interfere with the pedal position. Aftermarket A/C like Vintage Air or modifications to the factory box are required for this to fit. This shouldn’t be much of a problem anyway since you’re probably not using factory A/C when doing a Gen III swap anyway.
This is designed to work with the stock Gen III pedal (such as PT# 4861716AE). You will find Gen III Hemi DBW (Drive-by-Wire) Bracket listed for ’65 B-Body (PT# USCT1M2086); ’70-’74 E-Body (PT# USCT1M2084); ’66-’70 B-Body (PT# USCT1M2082); and ’67-’74 A-Body (PT# USCT1M2083).
