Vintage Air Releases Gen 5 A/C Kit for 1966-1967 B-Bodies

If you’ve driven your classic Mopar in the summer time heat, you know how brutal it can be without properly working air conditioning. While almost every vehicle manufactured today comes with that comfort option, many of our beloved classics didn’t. Even when they did come equipped with the air conditioning option, finding parts to keep the old system going can be tough and as the summers get hotter and hotter, we find our factory systems have a hard time keeping up.

Vintage Air wants to help keep your cool this summer with their new Gen 5 SureFit kit for 1966-1967 Dodge and Plymouth B-Bodies. This complete kit does everything; with air conditioning, heating and defrost all combined into one product and designed specifically for these B-Bodies.

The SureFit kit is designed to mount to existing holes in your dash and firewall without drilling into your classic and without having to fabricate any type of special bracket or part. It features separate high-capacity A/C and heater coils with a blend air door for rapid vent temperature adjustment to keep you comfortable year-round.

The 1966-1967 Dodge Charger and Coronet kits include patented cable converters to convert the original lever controls to electronic operation, while the 1966-1967 Plymouth Belvedere, Satellite, and GTX systems include a bolt-in replacement control panel. Improved diagnostics and advanced systematic fail-safes ensure optimal performance and peace of mind on every journey.

Multiple mounting points simplify installation, and rubber well-nut mounting points enhance NVH isolation. Removable access covers make coil servicing a breeze for added convenience, and interchangeable defrost and floor heat plenums increase mounting flexibility to suit your needs. Powder-coated steel mounting brackets ensure durability and longevity, while the quiet, high-performance blower keeps cabin noise to a minimum.

The kit also includes a replacement molded glove box and a flat steel firewall cover to add sleek finishing touches. They have two kits available, one for cars equipped with factory A/C and one for cars not equipped.
