Introduced at SEMA 2021, Proform’s new Gen III Hemi Oil Pump Primer tool fits all Gen III Hemi engines equipped with an aftermarket removable drive gear. While again, this tool fits all Gen III Hemi engines, it’s important to note that this is for aftermarket setups only, as the OEM oil pump drive gear will not come off separately.

That being said, this patent-pending priming tool is made of hard anodized aluminum that slips over the crankshaft like a deep-well socket and snugs into the splines of the oil pump. Just remove both the timing cover and the oil pump drive gear and use with a 3/8-inch drill adapter to begin priming your Hemi’s oil system.
