Gallery: West Coast Mopars’ 5th Annual Mopar Show in Coombs, BC

Up here in Canada, car shows have been almost non-existent since the beginning of Covid, especially Mopar specific ones. Over the winter months, we always look forward to summer time rolling around and car shows beginning. However, with the pandemic going strong, the summer of 2020 became a total wash with absolutely no car shows happening locally to us; for understandable reasons. Throughout this last winter, we remained optimistic that we’d finally have somewhat of a car show season in 2021!

While most car shows unfortunately weren’t able to happen this summer, a few managed to get organized and going much to our delight! Although our big local Mopar show got cancelled, Abbotsford Chrysler, a local dealership in Abbotsford, British Columbia managed to arrange and host a big Mopar show at their dealership back in late July with over 100 cars attending.

Much to our delight, our good friend Mike Coplin with the West Coast Mopars car club over on Vancouver Island was able to host a Mopar show in Coombs, British Columbia on September 12th which we jumped at the chance to attend!

On the day of the show, the sun was shining and a whole bunch of beautiful Mopars came out in fairly good numbers, including quite a few we haven’t seen before! From what we heard, 98 Mopars of all types; both classic and modern attended! We sincerely thank Mike and the members of West Coast Mopars for hosting the show and can’t wait for the next!

Car Feature Editor – cody.krueger@shawgroupmedia.com Since the age of 4, Cody has been obsessed with everything Mopar. On Christmas of 1998, Cody's parents gave him a rusty '69 Charger shell that his father saved from a field. Cody's garage still features that '69 Charger as well as the additions of a '70 Coronet, '71 Charger R/T, '71 Super Bee, '04 SRT-4, '06 Grand Cherokee SRT8, '08 Challenger SRT8 and a '17 Ram 1500 Rebel. Cody can truly and proudly say him and his wife are true Mopar nuts in love with all types of Mopars!
