Summit Announces 3 New AFR Black Hawk Gen III Aluminum Cylinder Heads

Anyone who still thinks that the modern Hemis just can’t make the same kinds of power that the 2nd Gen 426 Hemis could simply are living under a rock. Whether supercharged from the factory; turbocharged or suckin’ in air the old fashioned way, the modern third generation (G3) Hemis are monster Mopars and enough to continually get Ford and Chevrolet’s panties in a twist at NHRA events.

Like Summit Racing stated in a recent announcement, Hemis love airflow and AFR has three tiers of huge air-flowing cylinder heads to meet whatever your particular build requires. Offering a choice of 185cc, 212cc and a massive 224cc, AFR’s options for big power are immense. Just for example, the 224cc heads flow a staggering 393 cfm when paired with a .650 inches of lift. Those were Pro Stock numbers back in “the day.”

The latter two heads come CNC machined, CNC profiled combustion chambers. All three come full assembled with Viton valve seals and 10-degree valve locks. So if you’re running a modern Mopar and needing a serious top end this is going to be your route of attack. Check out the new AFR heads at Summit Racing today!

Here’s the original press release:
